Re: Information Meetings and Ratification Vote

As you may already be aware, the Union and your Negotiating Committee reached a Memorandum of Agreement with your employer on Tuesday, January 30th.  Please be advised, in lieu of the regularly scheduled Victoria area meetings a series of two meetings have been scheduled to communicate the package and to answer any questions and/or concerns you may have. In addition, a ratification vote will take place at the close of each meeting.  Ballots will be counted on Friday, February 16 at the close of the final meeting in New Westminster. The series of meetings and ratification votes are as follows:

                                      Date:               Wednesday, February 14, 2024

                        Times:             11:00 A.M. & 5:00 P.M.

If you are unable to attend one of the meetings, shown above, please contact the Union office and speak with a Union Representative to discuss and answer any questions you may have about the Memorandum of Agreement and to make alternate arrangements to collect your vote.

Memorandums will be mailed to each member over the next week in advance of the meetings.

Please make every effort to participate in this very important process.

Past Meetings

Testimonial

"I have been a member of Teamsters Local 464 for 23 years and have seen many of the executives come and go. Some of the previous executives nearly ran the Local into bankruptcy including losing our pension.  Bobby Kornhass, Bob Ryder and Paul Barton brought us back from the brink. Since they took over in 2000, we at Dairyland (Saputo) have had the best contracts I have seen since I have been there."

- Randy Onyschak

"I was employed for many years at a Teamster company that was shut down due to the economy. Because of my age, I was worried about starting over. Bobby, Bob and Paul not only negotiated a much better severance package than was in the contract, but they also went the extra mile and got me on at one of their other companies with an even better contract. They continued to help me even though it wasn't their job to."

- Armando Borean

“They have demonstrated the dedication and leadership that
our Local requires. They have always provided sound counsel, support, and frank
discussion on matters involving the members, contract negotiations and our
Local.“

- Bruce Tillapaugh –Shop Steward. Island Farms, Victoria
